Passage: Acts 21:1-16

In Acts 21:1-16, the Apostle Paul is on his way to Jerusalem. He is obediently following the strong nudging and compulsion of the Holy Spirit. We see that Paul is loved far and wide as he makes various stops on his journey back to Jerusalem. However, we also see something interesting occur. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, friends sound the alarm at every stop, warning Paul not to go to Jerusalem.

Have you ever disagreed with someone when it comes to discerning God's direction on something? It could be related to a specific calling, a course of action, a significant decision, or prophetic insight. When this is the case, how do we discern God's will when it comes to that calling, decision, or prophetic insight and how do we move forward when there is disagreement? The Apostle Paul faces this challenge in Acts 21:1-16. It's a fascinating look at obedience to a call and unity amidst differing perspectives regarding that call.
