Passage: Luke 15:11-32

Our Father in heaven wants to be with us. That's an amazing truth; we should take some time and reflect on that truth and let it sink in. Our God desires to be in relationship with us; so much so that he would pay the cost of redeeming us from our sins so that he could be with us. He gave us the greatest gift--the gift of his presence--and he is now calling us to be fathers who are present in the lives of our children.

If you had a negative experience where your home was not a safe place or if your father dismissed you and neglected you, I am sorry for your pain and suffering. That is not the way things are supposed to be. I want you to know that God wants to rewrite your experience of "home" and "father." He wants to show you that, as our true father, he cares deeply for you and that he will be ever present in your life and walk alongside you. He wants to re-write your story and show you how having God as our father can change everything about the way we live.
