Passage: Luke 19:1-10

In Luke 19:1-10, Jesus encounters a man named Zacchaeus who, by first century standards, had a good life. He lived in a great city and had a lucrative job that had made him very wealthy. And yet, something was wrong; something was missing. Zacchaeus had heard about Jesus and was curious to see him. Jesus meets Zacchaeus up in a tree and it leads to a transformational encounter that liberates Zacchaeus from his empty way of living. We see God's amazing grace on full display as Jesus saves someone far from God. And Jesus is doing the same thing today, seeking and saving the lost. Sometimes we can be discouraged by how far someone is from God; by how far culture and the world have wandered from God. This encounter with Zacchaeus demonstrates that no one is too far from God to be saved!
