In John 1:35-51, Jesus invites his disciples to come, see, and follow. This is the moment their lives took a radically new direction. They would become Jesus' band of brothers; his core group of followers that will spend the next three years with Jesus and continue his mission after his death, resurrection, and ascension. The disciples' lives were heading in one direction and, after encountering Jesus, their lives are changed forever, in the present and for all eternity. Jesus is doing the same thing in people's lives today. Jesus invites everyone to come, see, and follow.
