Passage: Galatians 5:7-12
Galatians 5:7-12 // As Paul addresses the opposition we have in this spiritual battle, he displays his confidence in the Lord. Jesus' victory was sealed even before the cross and the empty tomb because when God declares something, it might as well be done. His plan will never fail and his promises will never be left unfulfilled. His faithfulness and power means that God will never run out of resources, or change his mind, or forget his promises, or fail to achieve what he has set out to accomplish. Even if we cannot see the promise fulfilled right now—even if we cannot feel the victory in the present—we can trust that we are victors. Just as Jesus rode into town circa two thousand years ago on Palm Sunday as a victor even before he sealed the victory on the cross and in the empty tomb, we can live victoriously today because our victory is sealed in the promise of our almighty God. Let's live with this absolute confidence in the Lord this week!
