Passage: John 20:30-31

In this message, we explore what it means to have "Life in His Name," as John presents in his gospel account of Jesus. The gospel message is both simple (perspicuity of Scriptures) and complex (comprehensive enough to speak to all areas of life). We can clearly understand what is necessary for salvation and Christian living, and at the same time, the bible is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that God's people may be complete, equipped for every good work. We can navigate through our life's struggles, challenges, and joys with the leading of the Holy Spirit through his word given to us in the bible. "Life in His Name" also speaks to our purpose and significance found in Christ; it's about our core identity. God gives us the opportunity to live a most satisfying and meaningful life by living for him. We are witnesses (an important theme in the Gospel According to John) and signposts pointing everyone to Jesus through the way we live out our gospel transformed lives. Let us continue to live in a way that honours our amazing God and invite people to find life in Jesus' name!
