Jesus, as one born under the law, fulfills the law. He kept it perfectly for us. He did for us what we could not do for ourselves.

This is a message of great joy and hope. God is doing a new work! He is re-writing our stories; our stories of failure will turn into great victory in Jesus.

But him keeping the rules for us doesn’t mean we don’t need to keep the rules anymore. Stealing is still bad; lying is still going to be hurtful for our relationships. So, what changes for us? God is inviting us to build our lives with the help of Jesus who is the fulfillment of the law. God wants to be with us (Immanuel) as we keep the rules that help us enjoy beautiful and healthy relationship with God and with one another. Will you choose to follow him and surrender your life to him so that he can lead you in building a meaningful and beautiful life that is pleasing to our God?
