The bible shows us that Jesus healed many people in the context of homes. Our homes can be a place where the downtrodden and outcast are welcomed. Our homes can be a place in which we offer a genuine listening ear and walk alongside people who are experiencing pain and suffering. As Jesus traded places with us to take our brokenness upon himself and give us healing and redemption, we can share in the sufferings of others to help them experience the restorative work of Jesus.
