SDBC Kids Camp Out!

10Jul, 2025

We are so excited to launch a brand-new event this summer—our first ever SDBC Family Camp Out! Whether your kids are toddlers or teens, this event is designed for everyone and promises to be an unforgettable experience full of fun, connection, and community.

Have you ever wanted to take your family camping but weren't sure how it would go? Or maybe you love the idea of camping together but can never find a spot before the provincial sites fill up? We've got the perfect solution—camp out right here at SDBC!

From Friday, July 25th to Saturday, July 26th, bring your tent or trailer and set up on our church lawn or parking lot. Prefer to sleep indoors? No problem! The chapel will be open for families who want to camp inside—just bring your air mattress and cozy up for the night.

Here's what you can look forward to:
Friday Night: Bring your own picnic dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening similar to our family picnics. We'll gather around the campfire for classic treats, campfire songs, games for all ages, and a special fireside family devotional.

Saturday Morning: Wake up to a continental breakfast in the gym, followed by worship and a short family devotional to start the day with purpose and joy.

Can't stay overnight? That's totally fine! Come for the Friday evening festivities and head home for bedtime—or drop by Saturday morning for breakfast and worship. And if you're testing the camping waters, SDBC is just a short drive away—come and go as you need!

This is a fantastic chance to make memories, meet new friends, and enjoy quality time together as a church family. Everyone is welcome—we can't wait to camp out with you!
