This Friday, November 13th, several of our youth and leaders will spend one night sleeping outside, trading our beds and pillows for cardboard and concrete, as part of an event called YUnite Outside hosted by Youth Unlimited. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funding to alleviate the impact of houselessness affecting young people and give students a meaningful opportunity to identify and empathize with these vulnerable youth. We are asking our church family to pray for the youth participating in this event—that it would be a powerful, memorable, and transformative experience for them that cultivates in them a heart more like Jesus' and leads them to join him in caring for the weak and hurting. We are also asking you to consider donating. All proceeds for this event go towards supporting the programs of Youth Unlimited in Greater Vancouver, which exist to provide tangible support for youth across our region.
