Starfish Pack Year Eight Kicks Off!

16Oct, 2026

We are so excited to be kicking off our eighth year of Starfish Pack South Delta! When we started this chapter of the Starfish Pack Program back in 2019, we had no idea how large the program would get or how many years we would be able to run the program for. We are thrilled to be going strong in year eight.

This year, we started with 53 students, however, we expect to grow to 80 in no time, as this is the quantity we were producing at the end of last school year. There is still a large need for this program and we are so thankful to be meeting this need that our community has for food and groceries.

There are a number of ways you can partner with us to help the Starfish Pack program thrive. You can pray for the program and for the families that receive the support each week. You can also volunteer for the program, either by packing the bags full of food or picking up empty backpacks from the schools each week. For more information on serving with this team, please email Jessie Morton, our Starfish Pack Coordinator, by clicking here.

You can also give to the program financially. Each year, we fundraise $40,000-$50,000 to run the program and provide backpacks of food each week for the students in South Delta. We would not be able to run this program without the generous support from our local community and our SDBC church family. If you would like to give financially, please click the button below.

Thank you for your continued support and may God continue to use his church to bless our local community.
