Throughout Lent, we are sharing songs that teach us to cry out to God about the brokenness in our lives and to remember how Christ’s body was broken to heal our brokenness. This week’s Lent song is titled “Until These Tears Are Gone.” Sometimes, there might be sin and brokenness in our lives that persists for so long that we find ourselves saying “God, how long is this going to go on? How long until these tears are gone?” This song is a prayer that invites us to bring those words to God, asking him to reawaken us to the reality of his eternal love that uncovers every lie that we tell ourselves. As you listen, take some time to rest in God’s love and let him remind you of what is true of you because of what he’s done for you.
