We are pleased to share an important leadership development at South Delta Baptist Church.
Since January, Andrew Mellish has served diligently as our Interim Facilities Coordinator, providing stability and excellence in the care of our facility. As his four-month interim term concludes this week, we are delighted to announce that Andrew will continue with us in a dual leadership capacity as Director of Facilities and Director of Senior Ministry.
In this expanded role, Andrew will integrate facility stewardship with Senior Ministry leadership. While dedicating the majority of his time to facilities oversight, he will provide leadership direction for our Senior Ministry as part of his unified role.
Andrew brings biblical literacy and a teaching gift, together with leadership experience to this role. He will provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and organizational oversight to our Senior Ministry, reporting to Paul Park and working in close partnership with Jordan Scott and our pastoral team.
Important Transition Note: Marilyn Carmack started and has led the Senior's Ministry with extraordinary vision and dedication. Marilyn will continue leading through May, then serve on the Seniors Committee to ensure continuity. Andrew will work alongside Marilyn to ensure a seamless start for the new season in September. Andrew will officially begin this new dual leadership role on April 28th. That morning, he will join Senior's Ministry as the featured speaker.
