Fall is almost here, which means it's time for a new season of SDBC Kids! On Sunday, September 13th, many of our kids will be "aging up" and moving into new rooms. We're so excited to welcome everyone back and kick off another year together! With lots of kids transitioning to new spaces, we wanted to give families a heads-up on what to expect on Fall Launch Sunday.
Checking In
When you arrive at the Bus to check in that morning, please be patient as our check-in system doesn't always automatically move every child into their new room correctly. If you're able, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to give our Bus team plenty of time to get everyone checked in and headed in the right direction.
If you use our self check-in option, please take a quick look at your child's tag to make sure they've been checked into the correct room. If something doesn't look right, just find a member of the SDBC Kids team and we'll be happy to help!
Where Is My Child Going?
Here's our room breakdown for the 2026-27 ministry year:
- Nursery: Kids up to 18 months
- Movers – Room 105: Kids 18 months–2 years
- Preschool – Room 102: Kids 3–4 years old (must be turning 3 years old by December 31, 2026)
- Kindergarten & Grade 1 – Room 205: Kids entering Kindergarten & Grade 1
- Elementary – Room 201: Kids entering Grades 2–4
A New Year & New Spaces
Moving up can be exciting, but we also know that new rooms, new leaders, and new routines can feel like a big change—especially for some of our youngest kids! It may take a few Sundays for everyone to settle into their new spaces, and that's okay.
As we head into a new ministry year, we'd love for our church family to be praying for our SDBC Kids as they make these transitions. Pray that they would feel safe and welcomed in their new rooms, build relationships with their leaders and friends, and most importantly, continue to grow in their understanding of just how much Jesus loves them.
