Thank you for praying for my family as we served at Sunnybrae Bible Camp last week. Although it was physically exhausting to speak eleven times throughout the week, I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the gospel truth with the participants of family camp, and I was able to serve in a pastoral role over the week as well; praying for and with several people throughout the week. It was highly encouraging to meet so many families that are devoted to Christ and it was my privilege to encourage them through God's word. Throughout the week, we discussed the idea of sabbath and our responsibility to steward our children for God's glory. I received much feedback from the campers that the Lord had ministered to them through my messages; I am grateful for the Lord's work and the opportunity for our church to support their camp by allowing my family to serve them for the week.
As a family, we enjoyed our time in the beautiful campgrounds of Sunnybrae. Nathan and Christianne both did so well on the drive up there and back. They really enjoyed spending a whole week at camp; experiencing many firsts on this trip: first time horseback riding, first time on a motorboat, first time trying many of the activities there, and first time being stuck in a car seat for over six hours. Although this was a fantastic time for our family, we all agreed that we were thankful to be back home. We love gathering with our own church family for worship and fellowship. We love our community here and we are so blessed to be a part of the SDBC family.
Sunnybrae Bible Camp is a Christian camp that is owned and operated by a network of churches that is called the Fellowship Pacific. We enjoy our partnership with the Fellowship Pacific and often look for opportunities to serve the ministries of the Fellowship. The group of churches in the Fellowship Pacific do some amazing ministries together. If you would like to learn more about the ministries of the Fellowship Pacific, please click here to visit their website. Moreover, please pray for Sunnybrae Bible Camp as they continue to do the Lord’s work in the Shuswap region.
