A reminder that beginning this Sunday, we are collecting donations for our upcoming Mexico Missions Garage Sale & Clothing Boutique, happening February 14th from 10AM-2PM. Over the next four Sundays (January 18th, 25th, February 1st, or 8th) from 9:30-10AM, you can drop off your items at our staffed donations table in the foyer or a team member will come out to collect your items from your vehicle. We will also take donations for up to 30 minutes after the end of the service.
We received some questions about what types of donations we are accepting and whether they have to be worth $50 or more to be eligible. To clarify, we are looking for two categories of items:
- Small to medium sized garage sale items and clothing, including high-end and name-brand clothing for our Clothing Boutique: These will be sold at the Garage Sale & Clothing Boutique on February 14th. Examples include jackets, toys, small appliances, home décor, tools, electronics, and sporting equipment. These items do not need to be worth $50 or more but should still be in good condition.
- Large or high-value items with a resale value of $50 or more: These items will be posted on Facebook Marketplace and VarageSale to expand our reach and revenue for this fundraiser. Examples include ski gear, bikes, electric scooters, furniture in good condition, and musical instruments.
For items in the second category (or any items that are large, heavy, or worth more than $100), we are requesting that people fill out our Donation Form to ensure we can safely collect and store your items. We will have team members on standby who can pick up and transport items to the church if needed. This form must be completed to be eligible for a tax receipt on items sold for over $100.
If you have any further questions about what can and can't be donated, please click the button below to email Jacob Harder, our Pastor of Youth and Young Adults.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support for our Mexico missions team!
