Celebrating Together as One Church Family

02Jul, 2026

What an incredible Sunday we shared together at our annual SDBC Kids Sunday and Carnival! It was a joy to gather as one church family, with every generation worshipping side by side. Throughout the service, God was glorified as everyone had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what happens each Sunday in our children's classrooms. It was a wonderful reminder that God is at work in the lives of our youngest disciples, and that raising the next generation is something we all get to be a part of.

One of the unique parts of the SDBC Kids Sunday is that our regular classroom programming takes a pause, allowing our incredible Sunday School volunteers to worship together with their families and enjoy a well-deserved break. To every volunteer who faithfully serves our children week after week: THANK YOU! Your love, dedication, and faithfulness are shaping lives for eternity, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

After the service, the celebration continued at the carnival! From our brand-new games to mountains of cotton candy and popcorn, there was laughter and fun around every corner. We were especially excited to welcome many community families who joined us for the afternoon, experiencing SDBC's hospitality for the very first time. What a gift it is to open our doors, build relationships, and share the love of Christ in such a fun and welcoming environment.

As if the day couldn't get any better, we all gathered in the courtyard to cheer on Canada as we watched their historic World Cup victory together, a memorable ending to an already unforgettable day!

We are so thankful for our incredible church family and for everyone who came, served, invited friends, and helped make this event possible. SDBC Kids Sunday and Carnival has become a beloved tradition on the SDBC calendar, and we're already looking forward to doing it all again next year. Thank you for helping make SDBC a place where families, neighbours, and our community can experience the love, joy, and hospitality of God's family.
