A New Year for Gap & Gap Jr.

10Sep, 2026

As our ministries prepare to launch in September, we want to remind families about what youth nights will look like this year. Beginning September 17th, Gap (grades 8-12) and Gap Jr. (grades 5-7) will share a ministry night on Thursday evenings. The two programs will remain distinct, but by meeting on the same evening, we're able to bring our leaders, students, and ministries together in some exciting new ways.

We've put a lot of thought and energy into this change, and we're genuinely excited about what God can do through it. By sharing a ministry night, we're able to leverage our strength as a leadership team, create more opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships with leaders and one another, and equip them to grow in their faith and reach the thousands of students in our city who haven't yet met Jesus. We believe this can make Thursday nights a place where students are not only having fun, but are increasingly known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to follow Jesus.

And if you have a student who hasn't been involved in youth ministry before—or who hasn't found their place in it yet, this is a great time to give it a try. Maybe sports or other commitments have made it difficult to come, or maybe your student is worried they won't know anyone or will feel awkward walking through the doors. We understand! But with a new year, a new rhythm, and a team of leaders excited to welcome students, September is a great opportunity to take that first step.

We're also introducing several new opportunities throughout the year, including a youth bible study, Gap Leadership Collective, small group nights out, and special outreach events. Some of these will happen on Thursday nights, while others will take place at different times throughout the month. Our hope is to create more opportunities for students to connect with great people, ask meaningful questions, encounter Jesus, and take steps forward in their faith.

We'd love to see your student at our Gap + Gap Jr. Launch Night on September 17th!
