MEXICO MISSIONS TRIP

March 13-22, 2026

This spring break, from March 13th-22nd, SDBC is going on a missions trip to Vicente Guerrero, Baja California Mexico. We are taking a team of 15 people, and together with the youth group at SouthRidge Fellowship Baptist Church there will be 47 of us embarking on this journey together. We are so excited to be partnering with an organization called Oasis in Baja, Inc. to help run after-school programs for children, put on a Vacation Bible School event, complete work projects, and share the love of Jesus with all those we encounter.

We know not everyone is able to go on a missions trip and so we wanted to create lots of opportunities for you to support the team both prayerfully and financially.

Prayer

There are many specific prayer requests for our team. Please pray:

  • that we would serve effectively alongside the Oasis team and be an encouragement to their ministry;
  • that we would have many opportunities to reflect the love of Jesus to the people we meet;
  • that our team (47 people strong) would grow in unity, humility, and Christ-like love; and
  • that all the necessary finances for the trip would be provided.

Financial Support

Here are a few ways you can support our team:

  1. Donate Directly:
     If you would like to donate directly to the Mexico Missions trip, you can do so by clicking the button below. Using this method, you can choose to give to the entire team, or to specific individuals by selecting their name from the dropdown list under "Participants." In either case, you will receive a tax receipt from SouthRidge Fellowship Church.

  2. Upcoming Fundraisers (details are in the events below):
    Communion Lunch & Baking Auction: January 25th
    Garage Sale: January 31st and February 1st 
    Family Movie Night: February 15th

  3. Bottle Donations:
    One of the simplest ways you can give to our Missions Team is by donating your bottle refunds. We are a registered organization at Return-It Bottle Depots and you can opt to donate your refund to us by providing our church phone number (604-943-8244). You can also register by clicking the button below so your returns will be donated to SDBC by default (you can always change it later).

  4. "Hire" Our Team:
    If you have unskilled labour projects around the house such as yard work, cleaning, and organizing, etc., we're forming work teams that can come help.
