Where do we get true, lasting hope? Christmas confronts us with this question. It might seem strange to use Christmas and confrontation in the same sentence, but Christmas confronts us by inserting something into our fleeting, temporal, imperfect lives that is constant, eternal, and perfect. Christmas confronts us with something, or rather someone, that will give us joy that will not end and hope that is permanent—Jesus Christ. How will you respond to this confrontation?
