The resurrection of Jesus changed everything in human history and changed everything for humanity. It is the climax of God's grand rescue plan, kicked off at the beginning of the bible when sin entered the picture, separating us from God. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paved the way for us to have forgiveness of sins and a right, restored, and eternal relationship with God.

The resurrection declares that sin and death are defeated and that Jesus is really, truly alive and with us and at work in our midst. Jesus is not a distant God; he is not merely a good teacher in the grave confined to the history books; rather, he is the Risen King, the Lord of lords, God with us.
