Vision Night and AGM

29Apr, 2021

I am excited to invite you to an online Vision Night that will double as our Annual General Meeting on May 25th at 7PM. We are calling this event, Get Ready! because we will be unveiling our vision for the next chapter of our church life—preparing ourselves to begin the transition out of the pandemic and into what God has in store for us next. As we anticipate our gradual return from COVID-19 in the fall, I also want to share what God has laid on my heart and on the hearts of our elders as it relates to the direction of our church. I can't wait to share this vision with our church family. Please prioritize this event so that you can participate in this especially important season of our church life.

God calls us to prepare for his work even though it is difficult to prepare for things in such uncertain times. Despite the current challenges, the vaccination schedules and the society around us indicate that we will begin a gradual return to in-person activities in the fall. Rather than being caught by surprise when the time comes, we are choosing to get ready—trusting that the Lord will bless our plans as we surrender them to him.

So, please join us for this evening of sharing our vision and engaging in the business of the church in a way that sets us up for missional success. The business aspects of the meeting will include voting on an elder candidate, reports from the nominating committee and the audit committee, and voting on a revised budget for 2021, which will signal our intentional preparation for the post-pandemic reality. We will gather for this event using the Zoom platform. Please click here for the Zoom link (Meeting ID: 964 3038 9637). You will be able to participate in the online event without registering prior to the event. Please simply log in to the Zoom meeting on May 25th at 7PM. You will be able to vote using voting stations like how we processed the votes at our AGM last year. You can stop by the church (56th Street entrance) to cast your votes during the following times:

Wednesday, May 26th (9AM-11AM)
Thursday, May 27th (5PM-7PM)

You can download the AGM package by clicking here. I am looking forward to seeing many of you online as we participate in this important event. Let us prepare prayerfully as we lead up to the event.
