Vision and Mission

07Sep, 2017

Starting this Sunday, we are challenging our congregation to participate in what we’re calling Initiative 9:50. This is an initiative for our church family to come at least ten minutes before the service start time, which is 10AM on Sunday mornings. By coming early, we can “greet one another with a holy kiss” (figuratively) and engage in building community, which is a part of our vision to love like Jesus. Another important reason why we want to come early as a church family is to be prepared to serve the body of Christ—especially those who are new to the church body. By becoming the most hospitable church we can be, we’re showing people in our community that we’re serious about loving like Jesus. We, as a whole church family, come early and prepare ourselves to serve. We get to set the tone for our church. We’re not here to be consumers; we’re here to worship God and serve one another as Christ has exemplified for us. This is how we plan to love like Jesus this year—by establishing a culture of service and hospitality. Please join us in this initiative and arrive before 9:50AM on Sundays. We look forward to seeing you earlier than usual this Sunday!
