Thank you to everyone who supported, volunteered for, and prayed for the Starfish Pack South Delta program! We are so grateful for the amazing community that we have and how well Starfish has been received and supported.
Our second year of Starfish was a year of growth. We added three schools this year; one new elementary school in Ladner and both of the public high schools in South Delta! When we started this program we never thought that it would be so well received at our high schools, but we are thrilled to be working in them now and meeting the needs of our high school students, as well as our elementary school students.
Every week, we packed between 25-30 backpacks that were delivered to eight schools. Over the course of our second year, we delivered 790 backpacks to our community. There is a clear need for this program in our community and we are thankful that God has given us the means and opportunity to meet these needs; to be his hands and feet in our community.
Please pray for the Starfish Pack South Delta program as we plan for our third year and begin gearing up in the fall!
