On the Move: A New Summer Camp Format

22Jan, 2026

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new summer camp experience for 2026—On the Move: Discovering God at Work in Our Community! Inspired by Korean Ministry's All-in-One Camp, this brand-new format is a five-day, full-day camp that blends in-house creativity with offsite adventures. After listening to feedback from families, we've designed a camp that offers a rich, meaningful experience for kids while also supporting summer childcare needs, all within a faith-filled, relational, and imaginative environment.

Throughout the week, kids will explore our local community, discover how God has been at work for generations, and learn that they are part of God's big story too. From farms and forts to kitchens and art studios, campers will see how God uses everyday people and skills to serve him for a lifetime. This camp is all about helping kids notice God's work in the past, present, and future of our community and stepping into their role as joyful participants in his mission.

Here's a snapshot of some of the week: Monday in Ladner with an OWL visit and a farm visit; Tuesday back on site for Baking and Science camps; Wednesday in Langley with a trip to Fort Langley National Historic Site and a fun activity; Thursday on site for Art and Sports camps; and Friday in Richmond with a visit to the Steveston Cannery and a bowling celebration.

On the Move will run from Monday, August 17th to Friday, August 21st, from 9:00AM–3:00PM each day. Space will be limited to 25 kids entering grades 3-5 for our first year as we launch this new format thoughtfully and safely. Registration will open close to Spring Break. More information will be made available to families as we solidify volunteers, plans, and pricing.

This camp will only be possible through the support of our church community, and we are excited to invite you to be part of it. We have plenty of ways to get involved, here are just some examples of roles we're in need of:

  • Group/Table Leaders (ideal for teens!): available for the full week or even just 1-2 days. We need at least FIVE leaders each day
  • Drivers: for offsite excursions, including at least one 15-passenger van driver
  • Snack Team: for in-house camp days, Tuesday & Thursday
  • Workshop Leaders/Skill Sharers: baking, science, art, sports, or any fun skill you'd love to teach!
