New Sermon Series: REJOICE

16Apr, 2020

We're entering into a new sermon series next Sunday. For the next few months, we'll be journeying through the Book of Philippians--a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the church in a city called Philippi. We're calling this series "Rejoice," because this word is found throughout the letter. For example, Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice."

You may be wondering how we could rejoice amidst a global crisis, but Paul was writing these words to a church that had its share of challenges and trials. In fact, Paul himself was imprisoned for his faith in Jesus at the time of his writing of this letter. So, if anyone understood the art of rejoicing amidst difficult times, it would be Paul, and he is the one urging the church to remember to rejoice even when times are tough. I believe Philippians will encourage us, teach us valuable lessons, and help us to hold fast to our faith in Christ during the challenges we're facing today. Most importantly, I trust that the Holy Spirit will use these words from the bible to do his will and propel us to live missionally in this important season of life.

Please pray that God will minister to our church family through this sermon series.
