In 2019, we went through a sermon series called Church on Mission as we went through the first half of the Book of Acts in the bible. This series followed a short series called Changing Landscapes where we studied our mission field and learned how to live with missional intentionality. Recently, we went through the Home series with a similar desire to call our church family to live as missionaries in our homes. Now, fresh off the heels of the Home series, we are heading back to the Book of Acts to finish preaching through chapters 16 through 28. Our goal is the same as the first time when we preached through the first part of Acts—to hear God's call for us to live as missionaries in everything that we do. We desire to listen to God's call and act obediently in pursuit of his will. The church in Acts participated in God's amazing mission through the power of the Holy Spirit, and we believe that our great God will do amazing things as we participate in his mission today. Please prayerfully prepare your hearts for this new series starting next Sunday. It may be helpful for you to read through the first fifteen chapters of Acts to prepare for this new series: Church on Mission Pt. 2. May God be glorified by the preaching of his mighty word, and may he equip us to do his great work in our community and beyond!
