This year, the four weeks of Advent will begin on November 30th, and our church will be invited to journey toward Christmas together as we examine ;the Journey of Mary (Luke 1:39-56), the Journey of the Shepherds (Luke 2:8-20), the Journey of the Wise Men (Matthew 2:1-12), and the Journey of Christ Isaiah 9:6-7, Philippians 2:1-11). As we journey through these well-known biblical texts, we invite you to consider your own journey to Christmas—what joys, sorrows, fears, anxieties, longing, and hope are you bringing with you as you journey toward Christmas this year? Wherever we are in life and whatever we’re bringing to Christmas, our Lord Jesus is there at the end of this journey for he is our ultimate destination. We pray that you will encounter him and experience him this Christmas.

Our annual Christmas Celebration Sunday will be on December 14th as we hear our SDBC Kids Choir and Glory Orchestra worship through their songs that they have been practicing, and as we participate in a family-friendly service that honours our God. Immediately following the service, you're welcome to join our annual Gingerbread decorating contest, which will be happening in the gym. Please click the button below to sign up for the contest if you're planning to decorate a house, but even if you're not going to decorate, we invite you to stay for pizza lunch and check out the creativity of our church family!
