Every summer, one of the most exciting moments for campers is the journey to Camp Qwanoes—ferry rides, new friends, and the start of unforgettable adventures. This year, after many years of doing things the same way, Qwanoes is switching things up a bit, and they'd love your help to make it amazing!
Due to updated guidelines from BC Ferries, Qwanoes is no longer able to host their camper check-in directly at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. So, they've made a creative new plan that includes securing a space at Tsawwassen Mills for camper check-in, and they'll be launching each week of camp from there.
Here's how it will work:
- Parents will drive their campers to Tsawwassen Mills, where they'll check in and drop off luggage.
- After that, parents and campers will head to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, where there will be a small team of staff ready to welcome the campers and send them off.
To make this all run smoothly, they need a few extra hands — and that's where you come in! You are invited to be part of something that truly makes a difference in the lives of young people, showing them a life like no other. You can serve by:
- helping load luggage into the transport truck at Tsawwassen Mills; or
- hanging out with campers at the ferry terminal while they wait to board—a great chance to encourage them and share some fun before they head off to camp!
The commitment?
Just a couple of hours: 10AM–12PM on any of the following dates. Come once, twice, or whenever you are available—whatever works for you!

- Sunday, July 13th
- Sunday, July 20th
- Sunday, July 27th
- Sunday, August 3rd
- Sunday, August 10th
- Sunday, August 17th
- Sunday, August 24th
