Our annual Father's Day Car Show is returning on June 15th! We typically have many visitors on this Sunday as we invite people from our community to hang out with us in the courtyard and enjoy the collection of awesome cars after the service. Of course, they are always welcome to join us for our service at 10AM before they enjoy the car show. In order to help you invite your friends, neighbours, and family to this event, we will have some invitation cards ready for pick up at the Spotlight Table on Sunday. We encourage you to prayerfully consider whom you might invite to church for the Father's Day Car Show.
As is our custom, there will be a fundraiser at this event. This year, we're raising funds for SDBC Tutoring. If you're not familiar with SDBC Tutoring, the program offers effective support for students with dyslexia by giving them free access to tutors trained in a modified Orton-Gillingham approach, which has helped many children with dyslexia improve their literacy. This kind of tutoring is normally very expensive, so we're thankful to make this quality, supplemental education accessible to children who experience learning challenges due to dyslexia. Your purchase of doughnuts and cold brew coffee, and any other donations made to SDBC Tutoring will help more students access this free tutoring service and set them up for success in their education and careers. Donations of $20 or more qualify for a donation receipt.
