Easter with SDBC Kids

30Mar, 2023

Easter season is quickly approaching! Hopefully you picked up your family devotional package from the Check-in Bus on Sunday, but if not, they'll still be available this Sunday at the Bus. There is a lot happening on Easter weekend and we would love to spend it with you! During the Good Friday service on April 7th, we will be running our full Sunday School program for kids in the nursery through grade 4. There's no need to pre-register, just check in as you would for a Sunday service! If you'll be joining us for the first time, we ask that you check in before the service so our volunteers will have enough time to get your kids into the system!

On Easter Sunday, April 9th, make sure to join us for a pancake breakfast before the service! What better way to celebrate Jesus' resurrection than to spend time in fellowship over a delicious meal with our church family. We will be running our regular scheduled programming that morning as well. Make sure to pick your children up promptly after the service and bring them to the gym where we will kick off our Eggs-travaganza Easter egg hunt. For the egg hunt, we will meet in the gym to give instructions and separate kids into groups based on age. Kids 0-5 years old will be on the upper field, and kids in grades 1-4 will be on the lower field. We will be providing bags for your kids to fill, so no need to bring any baskets to church! Once the bag is full, bring it back into the gym to one of our counting stations where parents can help kids count their eggs and a volunteer will give them chocolate accordingly. Make sure to check the eggs you collect as some bunnies have hidden some special treasures inside that will get an extra special prize, if collected!

If you have any questions regarding any of our Kids Easter events, please email the SDBC Kids Team. You can also speak with a member of the Kids team on Sunday. We look forward to seeing you on Easter weekend!
