About the Event
Friday Fanfares is an event focused on showing radical hospitality to returning Camp Qwanoes campers and their families by offering refreshments, fun, and a warm SDBC welcome as they arrive home. We have a unique opportunity as the designated luggage pick up location to help families to encounter the surprising, generous love of Jesus in a tangible way. For families without a church background, this is something we pray will help them to meaningfully connect with our church and take one step closer to Jesus as they see his love reflected through his people.
How can you be involved?
To make Friday Fanfares possible, we need people willing to serve in one of two simple ways:
1. Join the hospitality team
- Serve on a Friday evening from 5:15–6:15 PM
- Welcome campers and families and help serve refreshments
2. Bake cookies or other homemade treats
- We give away more than five dozen treats each week
- Any amount you can contribute is appreciated
- You're welcome to bake ahead of time, and we can freeze the extras

- September 5 (Saturday)
Our goal is to have at least three hospitality volunteers and two baking volunteers every week.
