The Cross to Communion

Series: Gospel Fluency: Church on Mission

Speaker: Paul Park

Mark 15:33-39 // The cross was a symbol of brutality, corruption, defilement, shame, oppression, and curse, but when Jesus died on the cross, he redeemed the cross so that this imagery now has connotations of love, mercy, righteousness, and compassion. Likewise, when Jesus saved our lives by losing his on the cross, we have been redeemed and redefined; renewed and restored; reconciled and reinvigorated for God's mission. This is the story of the cross.
