As I See It

29Sep, 2022

Here it is, the fall of 2022 and the world has changed so much in the past two and a half years, as I see it. We have hidden in our homes and hidden our fears and what we say and how we feel, for fear of retribution. And yet, life goes on and now we are expected to carry on and do all of the normal things with courage and calm.

Is that even possible? We are indeed blessed to live in such a wonderful city and country and we have an amazing church community of family and friends. Yet, we are all dealing with questions and issues. Some of these issues are big and some may be small, but they are issues. Many of us could find comfort and peace by confidentially talking to someone. Pretending that all is well or will get better by remaining quiet or praying alone might not be enough for some.

Stephen Ministers are ready to meet and listen to any issue you may have and they have been trained to respond confidentially, always remembering that God is the ultimate healer. All of us could use a listening ear and a non-judgemental voice, as I see it.

If you are thinking that this is something that speaks to you, visit our Stephen Ministry page and complete the confidential "Request for Care" form. A team of Stephen Ministers will also be at the Spotlight Table on Sunday if you have any questions.
