God Sends: Eternal Hope
Matthew 2:1-15 // Advent is a season of hopeful anticipation focused on the birth of Jesus. This moment in history represents God sending us His son, the promised Messiah of Israel, who ultimately saves us from our sins through His life, death, and resurrection, and offers us eternal life as citizens in His kingdom. The birth of this child represents our eternal hope and future. And it’s because of this reality regarding the nature of the Messiah, who Jesus is and what he has done for us, that Christmas confronts us to respond to this truth. This Christmas, as you come and see, how will you respond? May your response be one of worship that would lead you to saving faith in Jesus. And, if you are a follower of Jesus, may you, from a place of rejoicing with great joy, go and tell everyone you encounter about Jesus, who He is and what He has done for us, sharing the good news this advent season!
