Reflecting on 2018

27Dec, 2018

God has blessed us so richly in 2018. Despite some of the challenges we faced together as a church family, God led us to participate in His mission by His grace and unfathomable love. We were able to participate in God's mission by teaching the powerful word of God, feeding the hungry, helping families that are struggling, walking alongside those who have experienced significant loss, sharing the gospel with people who have not heard this good news, and providing a community that is conducive to growing as disciples of Jesus. As we participated in God's mission, we also experienced growth ourselves, and we should all take a moment to reflect on the growth God allowed in our lives through the successes, sorrows, and failures that we experienced this year.

At the end of another year, I am reminded that I am not worthy to be a part of God's grand mission to redeem and restore this world for His glory. Yet, God graciously gave me an opportunity to serve Him, and I am thankful for His grace. Please join me in giving thanks to God, and trusting in Him for another year as we head into 2019. May God's glorious presence be with you all, and may He direct your ways in everything that you do in the new year!
