Director of Worship Arts Update

28Jun, 2019

As we've mentioned before, Gatlin Saip will be transitioning out of his role as Director of Worship Arts at our church in order to pursue a master's degree and continue serving as a teacher at South Delta Secondary School. Although he'll be remaining as a part of our church family and continuing to participate as a part of the worship team, this Sunday will be Gatlin's last Sunday as the formal Director of Worship Arts at SDBC.

Gatlin has led us in worship since August of 2017 and helped us grow in our walk with Christ. He joined SDBC at a very important time as we transitioned from having two separate services to worshiping together again. We especially appreciate his leadership through this challenging time and we're thankful for his service to the church family. Please continue to pray for Gatlin as he pursues further education and as he serves as teacher for our next generation at SDSS.

Moving forward, we have decided to hire an Interim Director of Worship Arts for the next four months. Jayson Oldham has agreed to serve us in this interim role at this time, and we're excited to have him join us in July. Please pray for him as he serves in this role.

We will continue to search for a person to take on the more permanent role of Director of Worship Arts at our church. Please be in prayer for this on-going search.

Paul joined South Delta Baptist Church in 2013 and has fallen in love with the church since then. He transitioned into the lead pastor role in late 2017, and has been blessed to serve Jesus and the community of South Delta alongside SDBC. He has a strong passion for preaching God’s word and living a missional life empowered by the love of Christ and the Holy Spirit. Outside of ministry, Paul enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Sarah, and their children Nathan and Christianne.
